What we liked
- + Black and gray colorway hides chalk and rubber marks better than lighter options
- + Comfortable beginner fit makes it easy to boulder for extended sessions
- + Budget price leaves room in the gear budget for chalk and a crash pad
Trade-offs
- - Colorway is the main difference, so it offers no extra features over other Defys
- - Flat sole gives limited grip on steep overhangs and small footholds
