What we liked
- + Adjustable straps let one harness follow a child through growth spurts
- + Budget price is easy to justify for a few family climbing trips a year
- + Lightweight design is simple for kids to wear on hikes to the crag
Trade-offs
- - Outdoor-brand kids harness lacks the pedigree of Petzl or Edelrid
- - Sit style is not ideal for very young children who can tip backward
