What we liked
- + Mesh back, cup holder and side pocket give a comfortable base for belaying breaks and long crag days.
- + Four-can cooler pouch keeps drinks and snacks within reach without a separate cooler.
- + Carry bag with shoulder strap makes the chair easy to bring along on a short walk-in.
Trade-offs
- - Heavy-duty steel frame is sturdy but the listing gives no weight, so it is likely bulkier than ultralight chairs.
- - Large size and cooler pouch make it better for roadside crags than for long, steep approaches.
